Bright and welcoming, with up-to-date furnishings and social spaces, this base is wonderful to wake up in each morning. After decanting scarves, coats and leads, head upstairs to the loft-style apartment to soak in fabulous views of the church spire and give your pooch a well-deserved ruffle. Curl up on the deep sofa with the TV playing the latest boxset, and enjoy the light cascading from the skylights as you sip your cup of tea. Rustle up the dog's dinner in the modern kitchen space before dining outdoors in the fresh air. Have a soak in the tub at the end of a long day before sliding into the double bed, complete with crisp linens and plenty of storage. Spend your morning playing fetch with your favourite furry friend and deciding the day's adventures with a coffee in hand.

In a prime position on the Devon/Cornwall border, you have access to both wonderful counties yet remain in a rural position for peace and tranquillity. Stop off at Launceston to discover its rich historical tapestry, grab fish and chips for tea, or visit the castle and grounds with your pup in tow. Take Fido for a stroll along the golden sands of Crackington Haven (15 miles), where seasonal restrictions apply, or join the South West Coast Path here to take in the memorable vistas of Cambeak Headland along the clifftops. A lovely place to stay and our third stay has been as good as the previous two visits. Our dog is welcome and it is a perfect size for a couple with or without a dog. Facilities are very good with an excellent kitchen and very good bathroom. Parking is right outside and there is outside seating looking out over fields.

Well presented flat above garage/gatehouse with open plan lounge kitchen and dining, with bedroom and bathroom off lounge. Dog friendly with large garden area for your use but not enclosed and there were sheep in the next field. A small, enclosed area would be great especially for early morning and night time dog toileting. Great base for exploringRead more Devon and Cornwall. Another lovely visit to Church View. Perfect for a couple and in our case Henny the Dachshund. Very friendly hosts and very clean accommodation. Everything provided for a great week and the location is perfect for visiting the Cornwall coast and exploring West Devon. This was our second visit and we have already booked our third!

A nice apartment in beautiful grounds. Very quiet and peaceful, but a long walk into town, especially coming back as the hill is very steep. Thankfully there is a bus you can take into Launceston if you don't want to drive.
