Farmland cottage offering charming accommodation for up to five guests, situated in an ideal location for enjoying country walks as well as taking day trips to nearby Harrogate.

Enjoying a rural location on the owner’s working farm, tails will wag at this delightful single-storey stone cottage on the south-eastern edge of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Take the lead along one of the many countryside walks directly from the cottage’s front door. The wildlife haven of Lindley Reservoir is only a mile from the cottage for peaceful walks, listening out for the sound of the woodpeckers in the surrounding trees. The historic towns of Harrogate (10 miles) and Ripon (19 miles) are within easy reach for days out exploring the ancient streets and scenic parks.

Put your best paw forward up the stone steps that lead to your front door before entering your rural retreat. Decorated in neutral shades, your open-plan living space has a light and airy feel where your pup will never be far from sight. Rustle up hearty family meals in the bright kitchen area to share at the centrally positioned dining table. After a long walk, sink into one of the comfy sofas and relax with your hound at your feet. When it’s time to turn in, there are two spacious bedrooms, one super king-size and one king-size, both of which can be made up as twins on request. There is also a generous shower room. Outside, soak your limbs in your private hot tub while your hound stretches their paws on the lawn.

Your holiday home is not to be sniffed at with the range of walks from the front door. Explore the 58 acres of colourful garden, parkland and woodland at RHS Garden Harlow Carr (7.5 miles). Discover the dungeons and secret castles at Knaresborough Castle (16 miles), before rambling down the river in search of Mother Shipton’s Cave and the amazing Petrifying Well. Discover the ancient Roman mosaics at dog-friendly Aldborough Roman Site (21.5 miles) and stroll the clearly laid-out defences.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage was wonderful and cosy with everything you needed. The garden was fully enclosed and perfect for our 2 dogs and also very big for them to explore. The views from the cottage/garden are absolutely stunning. The hot tub was also fantastic. The owner, Julie was the perfect host, very friendly and helpful at every given opportunity. Breathtaking views from the hot tub. Close to fabulous, unique towns for shopping. The owner Julie, is incredibly welcoming and her cakes are scrumptious. If youre looking for genuine hospitality and a farm yard experience, this is for you. If you like corporate, look elsewhere.

A very relaxing holiday in a fantastic location with plenty of places to walk or to visit nearby. The host is a lovely woman and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. This is a lovely clean little cottage.Being on a farm it is very quiet, in a rural location.Having the hot tub in the garden is wonderful and dressing gowns were provided.The area is amazing , country side all around with lovely walks.We took two dogs and the garden is very secure for them.They loved it and we did too.

The cottage was very comfortable and there was a nice pub about 10 minutes away for evening meals. Julie could not do enough for us and was always on hand to answer any queries you may have. The views are amazing.

A lovely cottage, decorated and equipped to a high standard, and with great views across the surrounding countryside. A good location for exploring the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales and towns such as Harrogate, Skipton and Ilkley which are only a short drive away. The owner, Julie, made us feel most welcome despite our very delayed arrival!
