If you're looking for peace and tranquillity in a spectacular setting, then this rural 300-year-old bothy is for you. Set close to the village of Gairloch, it offers superb coastal walking in the beautiful West Coast of Scotland. Sleeping four across two double sleeping areas, and with the added bonus of a hot tub, it is ideal for a couple or a small group of friends and up to two four-legged friends.
Inside, this traditional timbered bothy is warm and inviting. Downstairs, the open-plan living space, with its neat, well-equipped kitchen, table for four and cosy lounge area is perfect for relaxing after a day out on the hills. Light up the wood burner and snuggle up on the comfy leather sofa with a drink while your canine companion dozes in the warmth. Upstairs, the two simple sleeping areas are next to a bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. Outside, the large garden area is perfect for the odd game of fetch and a morning coffee in the sunshine, and offers glorious views all around. After a day out on the hills, come back and in the evening enjoy a long soak in the hot tub to soothe any aching limbs whilst gazing up at the stars in the dark night sky.
There are plenty of waggy-tailed walks to be had straight from the door of the bothy. Just a half-mile walk will bring you down to Strath Bay where your furry companion can frolic on the sand. Another half mile will bring you into Gairloch where there are a number of places to eat and drink, as well as the local dog-friendly visitor centre which also has a cafe. Further afield, take a drive to Inverewe Garden via pretty Poolewe, where you and your hound can enjoy the scenic Pinewood Trail and admire the array of exotic plants that grow here due to the unique microclimate.
