You’ll find some home comforts for the pups when you arrive; towels, bowls and dog biscuits mean that they get a holiday too! There is a 2 acres field which is enclosed and dedicated to doggy fun times or enjoy a scenic walk with the whole family around the Secret Forest (4 miles) before returning to the cottage to your very own hot tub.
The property, which is set within a cluster of cottages, has plenty of character thanks to the fantastic blend of the traditional and the contemporary. Exposed wood beams and pretty country touches feature in the kitchen, while dark furnishings in the lounge make it easy for you and the hounds to curl up in front of the fire. Have a game of snooker in the games room that’s filled with books, or head out to the garden for a spot of tennis on your own court. Sizzle up a BBQ out here in the summer while the kids and dogs play.
Whether you want a peaceful meal in the country or a more adventurous day, there’s something for everyone in the area. Wander around the village of Bream (1 mile) and stop for a pub lunch, or walk the high ropes at Go Ape! (5 miles). Ride along the magical 8.5 miles of medieval forest on the Dean Forest Railway (4 miles), stopping at stations with walks to attractions like the RSPB Nagshead (2 miles); there’s bike storage at the house, so take advantage of the cycle paths such as the Family Cycle Trail that starts in the Cannop Valley (5 miles).
