Absolutely immaculate - cleanest cottage we have ever stayed in. In particular we loved the benefit of a lovely secure garden, and it really is secure so no chance of our dog escaping!. The kitchen/dining area was a joy to sit at for the 6 of us to eat and play games in such a lovely big airy space.

Beautiful cottage with pretty garden in peaceful location. Walking distance from Hawkshead. Make sure you take plenty of bird food to fill the many feeders. We spent ages watching over 13 species including a pair of woodpeckers. Lovely.

This is a beautiful cottage which wowed us on arrival. Roses & honeysuckle in bloom around the kitchen door welcomed us with a heavenly scent and the garden had been carefully tended, including peanuts in a bird feeder. A lovely cottage in a very peaceful part of the Lakes - with a nice short circular walk from the house. Otherwise, for fell walkers you had to get in the car. All in all a wonderful spot. So much on offer from the doorstep if you enjoy walking or mountain biking. We didn't use a car all week. It was great being out of the main centre of Hawkshead for a proper tranquil time. The property offers a great mix of original age and charm with contemporary extension with all mod cons. The log burner on our only Read morerainy day was a real bonus. Having a separate outhouse and proper drying facilities is brilliant and for us a necessity if walking or biking. Hide

Lovely cottage, cosy and warm, great location, however we would have appreciated more daily essentials as in bin bags, toilet rolls, dishwasher tabs, the last thing you want to do on holiday is go shopping for essentials with a disabled person
