Take a few steps up into the bright, single-storey cottage and enter to find yourselves in an airy, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with an artistic edge. Let the hounds pad happily about as you unpack your belongings and any groceries you have bought. Feed your four-pawed friends in the kitchen area, pour yourself a glass of wine to sip at the breakfast bar, whip up a romantic meal for your evening in. Dine together at the glass table before relaxing in front of the Smart TV while your contented canines stretch out. Bid your cheery chums goodnight and head through to the super-king-size bedroom, which can also be arranged as a twin if required. Find you have a Smart TV and en-suite shower room. Wake up to take your excited pups for a wander round the grounds before heading home for coffee and perhaps breakfast on the terrace. There is parking for one car at the cottage.

Drive just over 4.5 miles to reach the edge of the North Pennines; from here you can hike 3.5 miles to the summit of Cross Fell, the highest point in the Pennines. Drive 8.5 miles to Pooley Bridge to follow a section of the Ullswater Way with your faithful friends by your side.
