Dogs on leads are welcome to explore the monastic ruin at Binham Priory (0.5 miles), which was founded in 1091 by a nephew of William the Conqueror. Pups are also welcome at the beach at Wells-next-the-Sea (7 miles) all year round. There’s a huge area for dogs to run and play in before heading to the dog-friendly beach cafe, which stocks a selection of doggy treats. Or, for a day out with a difference, take a trip on the dog-friendly steam train from the thriving Georgian market town of Holt (9.5 miles).
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
