A brilliant apartment with space for all the family, including your beloved dog, adventure days away at Derwentwater before getting cosy back at home.
Tucked away in the market town of Keswick, in the spectacular Lake District National Park, this ground-floor apartment is perfect for families and their canine companions. Known as the ‘Outdoor Capital’, Keswick is popular with outdoor enthusiasts who want to walk, cycle, canoe or climb. You’ll be well-placed to explore the natural beauty of the northern lakes with Derwentwater less than a mile away and Bassenthwaite Lake, a nature reserve with its own nesting ospreys, less than 5 miles. Located just outside the town centre (1 mile), you’ll also have a range of independent shops and eateries a short walk away.
Situated in an end-of-terrace house, this ground-floor apartment is light and airy throughout. Carefully laid out, there is plenty of space for everyone to spend quality time together. After parking in the dedicated space, head inside where you’ll find the open-plan kitchen/diner. The well-equipped kitchen is cosy and contemporary with everything you’ll need to cook up some treats. Next door, there is a comfortable lounge with a wood burner-effect fire for colder evenings. A large double bedroom and a smaller bunk bedroom provide somewhere cosy to rest at night, whilst a family bathroom (with a separate bath and shower) completes the accommodation.
Keswick is a good base for a number of walking routes, including the gentle walk up to the atmospheric Castlerigg Stone Circle (1 mile), which offers stunning panoramic views. The quieter northern ascents to magnificent Skiddaw and Blencathra are a little further afield, but well worth the journey, as is Catbells (all within 6.5 miles). Heading 8.5 miles south, you will arrive at beautiful Borrowdale: a good starting point for Scafell Pike. The town is also home to the unique Derwent Pencil Museum.
