Situated just 10 minutes from the glorious Northumberland coast, this snug and cosy single-level holiday cottage is perfectly located for visiting the tranquil and picturesque village of Bamburgh.
A thoughtful welcome pack awaits your arrival at this smartly designed cottage. It’s the perfect rural hideaway for a couple and their top dog, with plenty of walks for the waggy-tailed ones. Traverse moor and woodland in Northumberland’s National Park, which you can be inside of in only 12 miles, or spend the day getting sand in your paws along the coast, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. At the end of your adventures, settle down in front of the toasty wood burner.
Elegantly furnished with an eye for small details, the cottage is homely and makes great use of the space. Its open-plan layout of lounge/kitchen/diner and bedroom – which has been raised two steps higher than the rest of the room – will keep your canine companion close by, and they’ll love all the attention you’ll be able to lavish on them! After a romantic meal at the dining table, and a few tasty titbits for Fido, relax on the sofa with a film. Put your hound’s favourite comfy cushion in front of the fire, where they’ll spend the rest of the night happily curled up. Unwind under hot water in the walk-in shower, then cosy up in the double bed for a peaceful sleep. Outside there is an enclosed patio garden where you can start the morning with a lazy brunch as your dog has a sniff around in the sunshine.
For a special meal all together, head just down the road to the nearby village of Lucker (1 mile) where the dog-friendly inn serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Explore the mighty ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle (12.5 miles) on a walk along the coast, and let your dog take the lead on a wander round the castle grounds and into the Armstrong & Aviation Museum, Victorian Stables, and Tack Room Cafe of Bamburgh Castle (5 miles).
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
