Wonderful property in a great location with friendly owners. Very good amenities, beautifully decorated and essentials available upon arrival, only downside was wish we could have stayed longer. Only 20/25 minutes to Daymer Bay (highly recommend visiting when the tide is out), reasonable parking costs and a little shop on site. Property is right oRead moren the Camel Trail, which stretches for miles, and if unable to bring your own bike, theres a bike hire place at the pub a 5 minute walk along the trail. The Hayloft doesn't disappoint. The single track drive to the property is fairly magical in its self weaving through trees, past a meadow & running along side the river, it crosses over the Came Trail a few times (this trail is an old railway line which you can walk/cycle along into Wadebridge, Padstow & Bodmin, also takes you up to the local pub TRead morehe Borough Arms) In a peaceful & quiet location this is beautiful conversion of a small farm building into a comfortable & cosy one bedroom cottage. Lovely open plan living room, dining & cute little kitchen with everything you need for the perfect home from home stay, upstairs is a spacious bedroom & good sized bathroom with a large walk-in shower, from the bedroom there is access to the upper outside patio area which is fenced in for our furry companions, a small gate & some steps lead down to the front door/parking area. Simply furnished & decorated it has a nice warm welcoming feel as soon as you arrive, this is only rivalled by the friendly welcoming of the owners who have paid attention to the details & ensure you are settled & have all you need. Located in Dunmere just outside Bodmin you are fairly centralised for day trips out, we managed to visit Lands End, Boscastle, Tintagel, Wadebridge & Padstow (we hired bikes from the cycle hire at the Borough Arms car park) Bodmin (walked in on the Camel Trail to visit Bodmin Jail attraction) & the beautiful quaint Port Issac. We had the best time & I highly recommend this property for those seeking a tranquil retreat from a busy world, mobile reception is non existent (perfect) internet is patchy (not really bothered) but the wi-fi is good if you want to use it. Dog friendly this was just great for us & our 6 month old Westie, we will definitely be returning. Hide
