Bella the beagle will adore her days out exploring Cornwall’s Lizard Heritage Coast and her evenings playing in the sunshine when you reserve this lodge. The two-bedroom bolthole nestles in beautiful surroundings at Carnmenellis, 9.5 miles from Falmouth. Sleeping four guests, it is filled with natural light and comes with a south-facing deck where she can rest her paws out in the fresh air.
Climb four steps up to let yourselves into the modern, wood-clad retreat. Enter to find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a vaulted ceiling and abundance of glass doors and windows. Let her wander round her new home away from home while you unpack any fresh produce you have bought and pop your Cornish pasties into the oven. Feed her in the contemporary kitchen, then enjoy your own snack up at the breakfast bar or at the table. Sit down to watch a little TV from the comfort of the colourful sofa, keeping the doors open on warm evenings to bring in a summer breeze. Leave Bella dozing in her bed for the night, then head down the hall to find yours. There is a king-size bedroom, with an en-suite shower room, and a twin with zip-and-link beds that can also be arranged as a double if requested at least four days in advance. There is also a family bathroom. Call Bella to stroll with you around the attractive site, with its pretty meadows and children’s play areas, when she awakes. Return for morning coffee and breakfast together on the deck. There is parking beside the lodge.
Take Bella to walk beside Stithians Reservoir, just 500 metres away. Let her play on the sand at Rinsey Cove, 11.5 miles away, where there are no restrictions. You can both stride out along the South West Coast Path from here.
