Rest and recharge at this tranquil glamping retreat, set within 34 acres of rolling countryside. The pod, which sleeps two humans and two hounds, is 5 miles from the seaside resort of Looe, on Cornwall’s beautiful south coast. From the rural retreat, you and your furry sidekicks can embark on woodland walks and nature trails, or hop in the car to join the long-distance South West Coast Path which passes nearby.
The stylish pod is in an elevated position in a private, secluded spot. Inside, an open-plan living space sits under a fabulous domed ceiling, with large windows framing panoramic countryside views. After a day of outdoor adventure, stretch out on the sofa (which can convert to a bed to sleep a further two guests), reading your book in the glow of the wood burner. The colourful kitchenette has all the essentials to rustle up simple, home-cooked dishes, which you can share at the stylish dining table. At the rear of the pod is a sumptuous king-size bed with Egyptian cotton sheets. Accessed from outside is a shower and a composting WC. On balmy nights, fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco on the decked terrace, whilst Rover and Fido play on the enclosed grass. You’ll also have access to a shared dog exercise paddock, as well as on-site facilities such as a hot tub and gym. Private parking is available for one car.
Journey into Looe to potter amongst its cobbled streets, popping into the many paw-friendly boutiques and independent eateries. Although the main beach is a woof-free zone, just along the coast is the charming Hannafore Beach, where four-pawed beach-goers are welcome all year. A scenic clifftop path leads away from the town to the picture-postcard fishing village of Polperro with its idyllic harbour and turquoise waters.
