Rustle up some tasty treats in the kitchen before enjoying your romantic feast seated at the dining table; your pup won’t be able to resist dozing at your feet as you lose yourself in views across the surrounding countryside. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the contemporary shower room before retiring to the cosy king-size bed which features a Smart TV above it, perfect for those lazy lie-ins. Outside, the seating area is a haven for peace and serenity; playful pups can let off some steam as you enjoy dining alfresco.

Once the centre of the ancient Kingdom of the Picts, the market town of Forfar is a haven for those with a nose for adventure. Take the lead to Balmashanner Hill and War Memorial, 4 miles away, to find plenty of exciting new smells and on a clear day, enjoy splendid views across Forfar and the Valley of Strathmore to the Braes of Angus. Find plenty of ball-throwing opportunities at Forfar Loch Country Park (3.5 miles) and enjoy a long walkies along the network of footpaths. Join the Forfar Heritage Trail beginning from the Meffan Museum and Art Gallery, 3 miles away, to walk your pup through hundreds of years of history.

The shepherds hut is excellent, finished and cleaned to a high standard. All furnishings and accessories high quality. Location great for a base if sightseeing in other areas. Lovely restaurant and bar just on the edge of the camp site.

Having never been in a shepherd's hut before, we were very pleasantly surprised at the space! It was very well equipped, warm and good place to enjoy card games when the Scottish rain and wind arrived! The campsite itself was lovely and staff very helpful when the site had power outtage. Fantastic cosy Sheppard's hut. Ideal location for a break away. The staff are all lovely, friendly and helpful. Would go back again and would recommend to others.

A beautiful peaceful site, in a scenic place. The compact Shepherds Hut was tastefully decorated inside and well equipped and maintained. Lovely touches with flower troughs and outdoor seating. Located close to a restaurant and nature reserve. We saw deer and lots of birdlife at the site and nature reserve, which was special as we love nature, and Read moreit was great for walks and for relaxing. Hide

A lovely friendly place. The hut we stayed in was gorgeous! It was spotlessly neat and clean. Tea, coffee and sugar all provided and lovely soft towels. We loved all of the lovely features of the hut, from door handles to windows and the scenery was spectacular. We took our little old JRT and she settled well.
