Get away from it all with your favourite human and hound in this attractive shepherds' hut near the market town of Forfar. Couples and solo travellers can enjoy dog walks directly from the property, through the neighbouring nature reserve, or head further afield to explore the surrounding countryside of the Strathmore Valley. In the evenings, sip a sundowner on the patio and take in your peaceful surroundings.

The property enjoys a quiet, countryside setting. Climb the steps to the front door, and once inside you'll find a bright, open-plan living area. Beautiful, exposed woodwork gives a rustic charm, while an array of creature comforts ensures a relaxed stay for you and the pup. Rustle up tasty meals for two in the cute kitchenette, as you admire the rural views, and sit down for dinner at the dining table or outside on the patio. At one end of the property is a sumptuous king-size bed to sink into after a day of exploring. Above the bed is a Smart TV, which is on a swivel bracket so you can also watch from the dining table as you eat your breakfast and plan the day. A separate shower room rounds off this rural retreat. Outside, share a bottle of wine at the bistro set on the patio whilst Rover potters around on the grass. There is private parking for two cars.

Journey into the historic burgh of Forfar (3 miles), where you'll find a good range of pet-friendly pubs and cafes. Learn about the town's fascinating history on the heritage trail or at the woof-welcoming museum. Alternatively, explore the colourful floral displays at Pitmuies Gardens, where four-pawed visitors are welcome on a lead. Just outside the town, you'll find Forfar Loch Country Park, with its network of walking trails to sniff and explore. Beautifully site with amazing views of the countryside. Our Shepherd hut was first class. Linen, towels, crockery were all good quality and beautifully soft. Shower great, perfect after a day exploring all the beaches and parks. My dog loved all the local walks too. Only 5 shepherd huts on the area we were in. Find lot enclosed s very safe. IRead moredeal for couples or people on their own looking to chill out in a bit if home from home comforts. I would highly recommend. Staff & owner very friendly. Dog friendly, but dogs need to be kept on the lead around the site. Plenty of locks shorter walks too. Beaches & parks all within 5-10 miles. Restaurant also close by if you dont want to cook. Great place to chill out. 5 stars Hide

We stayed here as a stopover and had two lovely nights there. The shepherds hut was clean and had everything you needed for a couple of nights stay. The hut was private and we managed to sit outside on the bistro set one morning with our coffee. We would definitely come back and would recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay and the cabin was prefect. Really appreciated being given the extra hour on Sunday with the delayed check out.
