Featuring a wood burner, an exposed stone wall and impressive original timber beams in the vaulted ceiling, the lounge is an ideal space to snuggle up in the evening to watch a movie. There’s a lovely central dining area and a stylishly arranged kitchen. Returning to the ground floor, there’s a choice of two bedrooms: a king-size and a twin, each with beamed ceilings. The ground floor also has a shower room. Outside, the courtyard is shared with neighbouring properties and offers a lovely spot for you and your canine friends to unwind and enjoy the sunshine.
The idyllic village of Gamblesby is perfect for dogs and their owners exploring the Eden Valley, with local landmarks including Little Meg and Her Daughters (3.5 miles) and Lacy’s Caves (8 miles). The cottage is set along the north-western edge of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its beautiful heather moors and peatlands. Heading west, you can visit the thriving town of Penrith (10.5 miles) before diving into the Lake District, with dog-friendly attractions including Lowther Castle and Gardens, Aira Force Waterfall and Lake Ullswater, all within 22 miles. The village location is very quiet, with the main daily soundtrack consisting of birdsong, the odd tractor and an occasional passing herd of cows or sheep!
