Property code: OC-87361

Take a holiday surrounded by immaculately manicured landscaped gardens at this inviting lodge, with its own hot tub, in the heart of rural North Devon. Bring friends or family and up to four canine companions to this beautiful setting in the grounds of a picture-perfect manor house. Enjoy countryside and woodland walks that begin as soon as you close the door. Roam the high tors and picturesque valleys of Exmoor and have a ball on some of the country’s finest beaches.

Bright and breezy with an open-plan living area, the lounge has a Nordic feel with wooden floorboards, walls of glass and sloping skylights overhead. A sleek and stylish kitchen/diner follows, in which cooking is a delight – there's also an on-site restaurant serving three meals a day. Outside, the fully enclosed decking is the perfect place for a spot of al fresco dining with your pup by your side. After a long day of discovery, what better way to end it than with a luxurious soak in your own private hot tub before heading to bed in one of two warm and welcoming bedrooms?

With Exmoor National Park on your doorstep, hundreds of square miles of dramatic moorland demand investigation by inquisitive noses. For a seaside game of fetch, head to Newberry Beach, 5 miles away, for unrestricted year-round frivolity or explore the sweeping sands of Woolcombe Beach (12 miles), where Fido can watch surfers take on the powerful Atlantic breakers. For the more discerning hound, take a ride on the Lynton and Lynmouth cliff railway (9 miles), a Victorian-era funicular, powered by water, which will carry you and your faithful friend between these two picturesque coastal villages.

Great location, quiet and friendly. Good value for money in general. Some small improvements to the lodge would make it even better, but all in all a great experience and we would go back!

The lodge we had booked was not the one we stayed in. Someone at check in told me this is an ongoing issue. Thankfully the lodge we did stay in was nice but not what we booked.

The inside and outside need thoroughly cleaning. This property was advertised with 2 bathrooms but only one had a shower. The second bathroom needs a shower over the bath or instead of the bath. The windows were filthy and there were lots of pieces of maintenance that were required internally that would improve the aesthetic. The equipment was a biRead moret stingy, 2 dishwasher tablets is a bit mean for a week. There was no vacuum cleaner which is inadequate for a weeks holiday with 4 adults and 3 dogs Hide

We loved our time in Lodge 7! A very peaceful place to stay and the lodge service was fab when we were too lazy to go out. It is in a great location where you can access many places to visit/explore. The lodge itself is clean on arrival - we'd certainly stay here again.
