This beautiful, hand-built shepherd’s hut offers a sophisticated glamping experience in the lovely Monmouthshire countryside. Set in acres of rolling fields, this is the perfect romantic retreat for a couple and their precious pooch.

One of two huts in the same location, this charming and stylish property has a very comfortable, beautifully designed interior, with tongue-and-groove wooden panelling and warm, neutral décor. With an immaculate and well-equipped little kitchen area, a smart shower room, and a wood burner for chilly evenings, it has everything you and your four-legged companion could want. On warm mornings, throw open the door and enjoy a coffee in the sunshine as your pet pooch stretches his legs on the grass. At the end of the day, cook up a delicious meal on the BBQ and take in the glorious views of the surrounding countryside while your furry friend snaffles a sausage or two.

With waggy-tailed walks straight from your door, this is a beautiful area for enjoying the outdoors. The pretty town of Usk is just 4 miles away. Take a picnic and enjoy a walk and a few games of fetch along the scenic river or explore the town’s ancient castle. Alternatively, head into the Wye Valley and visit the picturesque village of Tintern, just 12.5 miles away. Set at the lower end of the scenic River Wye, the village is home to the famous Tintern Abbey ruins which you can explore with your canine companion before enjoying a leisurely lunch in one of the local dog-friendly pubs.

Lovely Shepherd's hut; great views, warm reception; we had a really enjoyable week. The shower was a really good size with immediate hot water, the bed was very comfortable and the site is clean and quiet.
