For a step back in time, the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge is just 4.5 miles away, while the medieval town of Much Wenlock is 6 miles south. Just a few miles from the Welsh border, Shrewsbury (10 miles) is home to a whole host of listed buildings and has some lovely riverside walks. Alternatively, head 5 miles north to walk iconic Shropshire landmark The Wrekin – on a clear day the views from the top reach across 20 counties in England and Wales.
