This single-storey contemporary lodge on the edge of the North York Moors National Park has a bubbling outdoor hot tub and calming, neutral-toned interiors. Up to six guests and two canine companions can stay in this stylish countryside property and explore the surrounding historical landmarks, scenic walking trails and coastline.
As you enter the property, you’ll notice the tranquil, flowing layout of the living spaces which are airy and minimalist with natural light pouring through the windows and glass doors. Inside, the open-plan kitchen/diner is a wooden bench-style dining table beneath ambient low-hanging lights. Opposite is a white and grey ‘L’-shaped fitted kitchen unit. Continue into the lounge to find two orange, velvet sofas and an armchair in front of the dual-aspect bi-folding patio doors. Completing the interior are three ensuite bedrooms – a twin, double and a super-king-size with garden access through patio doors. Outside, you’ll find an enclosed garden with a patio, furniture and a hot tub. There is also an on-site spa and car park.
During your stay in North Yorkshire, head into the village of Great Ayton (1 mile) to try one of the cafes or pubs and see Captain James Cook’s Cottage. Pack a picnic and some dog treats for an adventure in the North York Moors National Park with a walk around the Bank Foot Farm hiking area or Captain Cook’s Monument (both within 5.5 miles). You could visit the port town of Middlesbrough (8.5 miles) for a morning before strolling along the River Tees to Teesmouth National Nature Reserve (19 miles). Relax on the dog-friendly Skinningrove Beach (11 miles) or admire the dramatic abbey ruins in Whitby (27.5 miles).
