Grade II-listed, it features a drool-inducing lounge with a paw-warming wood burner, plus a two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout perfect for a pair of pet-loving couples. Just 150 metres away, the village inn is dog-friendly, and your private patio garden has space for pup to chill out while you bask in the hot tub.

Step straight into the kitchen where a stone floor will keep pup cool while you cook and dine companionably. Across the hall, the lounge has a Smart TV at one end and a choice of comfortable sofas arranged before an inglenook fireplace. Fire up the wood burner for cosy movie nights or curl up with a book from the shelf. Completing the ground-floor layout, a utility room has a shower and a door onto the garden. Upstairs, two king-size bedrooms - each with exposed beams and high ceilings - share use of a bathroom with both a shower and a sleek slipper bath. Your living space extends into the patio garden where there's a pergola above an outdoor dining area, lounge-style furniture and a luxury hot tub. Let pup sniff out the seasonal planting while you unwind; off-road space for two cars means you can park and unpack with ease.

Beautiful cottage, ideally located for exploring Yorkshire. Hot tub in the secluded rear garden great for soothing aching legs after a long days hiking.

The house was as shown in the pictures although a little older than newly refurbished I would suggest. The house was cosy and well equipped, with comfy sofas in the lounge and easy to use TV and soundbar, the room was smelling a little doggy but this is the first dog allowed rental we have used so not sure if its usual. The layout in our opinion beRead more more homely with an L shaped sofa and the TV in the opposite corner. The bathroom was nicely furnished with lots of available hot water. The bedrooms nicely furnished with comfortable beds and linen. There are a few issues to bear in mind, the cottage is a cottage so low doorways, downstairs youre ok if under 6ft, upstairs though if your are over 58 all the 3 doors at the top of the stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom you will have to duck or have dozy moments like me and bang your head a few times. The main gripe really was the cleanliness of the kitchen when we arrived with the cooker and fridge needing us to wipe down also the previous rental and missed by the cleaners kindly left a fat filled oven grill tray for us to clean. The House generally downstairs had the feel of needing a deep clean. The rental has a small notebook for tv operation and owner contacts but this really needs to be a larger more comprehensive wipeable folder of emergency contacts, local walks and attractions like all other rentals Ive used. The outside was clean and tidy and hot tub clean which we enjoyed, with a safe enclosed area for the dog. There is an issue with the lounge furniture as being water stained with some broken arms which we didnt want to use. The main problem is the attention to detail for a 5 star rated property, which could be amazing but falls short with the issues highlighted. Hide
