It would be very helpful in the description of the property to say the staircase not suitable for older people, we struggled to get our luggage up them and to use toilet in night. The cottage is very cosy and compact and has everything you would need for a great stay for 2 people . It is well furnished and has a large garden with plenty of seating. The ceiling in the bedroom slopes at either side which was not a problem for us at all. The location is excellent. The pub over the road serves great basic and affordable food. This is a sweet little cottage with the bonus of a hot tub which is welcome after a long day of walking. Plenty to see and do, Robinhood bay, York and Whitby are a must. Kitchen was adequate and lovely to have a dishwasher. TV package was great too especially with the comfy sofa to watch it on.

Garden big disappointment not as pictured on the website . Needing a good tidy up . Grass needed cutting and a strange black trough in the garden gathering water which wasn't pleasant. Lovely cosy cottage well equipped obviously need a car some lovely places to visit. We did not use hot tub as weather not good enough. Take note if going with your pet you cannot leave it in cottage on its own.
