  • Ideal for visiting the popular villages of Bamburgh, Seahouses and Beadnell

Take some rejuvenating time out at this home-from-home bolthole where adventures await, and cosy corners make post-explore relaxing easy. Welcoming your four-legged friends too, escape to the local beach at Bamburgh and chase sticks and waves or visit the majestic castle for tales of years gone by. There is something for everyone in Northumberland and plenty of room in the cottage to unwind in style.

Cook up a storm and rustle up tasty treats in the spacious kitchen/diner where you can fling open the doors and let fresh air flood inside. When the days are mild, step outside and enjoy dining alfresco on the charming decking. Cosy up by the electric fire to keep tummies and toes content or challenge fellow guests to a game of tennis followed by a relaxing swim in the shared on-site facilities. As heads get heavy, climb the stairs to rest tired eyes in the pleasant bedrooms, all of which boast en-suites and TV's for lazy mornings. Due to the nature of this traditional cottage, sloping ceilings run throughout the first floor add character yet slightly restrict headroom in some areas.

Harness up and travel 6 miles to Bamburgh with a picnic in tow so that you can make the most of the vast stretch of sandy beach before wandering the castle and visiting the RNLI Grace Darling Museum. Head to Seahouses, 8 miles from home, to savour yummy fish and chips and hop on the boat from the harbour to the Farne Islands where magical nature and wildlife await discovery.

A lovely cottage sleeping eight comfortably. Very well equipped kitchen, perfect once we had fathomed out how to use the induction hob and oven. Would recommend the cottage for spending special time with family or friends. Situated not far from Seahouses and Bamburgh. A lovely cosy pub serving delicious meals just a minute away. Private use of an iRead morendoor pool and sauna was a big hit with children and adults too. Loved our weekend there. Definitely stay again Hide

We had a great week in Mill House which met our family needs, the bonus being able to swim everyday, having the pool to ourselves.

Dirty place I know its dog friendly but theres no excuse for months of cobwebs hanging scratching in the attic possibly from rats and filthy stained carpets and seats would not recommend its saving grace is the lovely pool which was let down by dirty changing rooms toilet facilities and gym

Great country location and the swimming pool a bonus especially for the grandchildren. Plenty of country walks ideal base for Alnwick, Berwick and seahouses.

A very nice well appointed house. En suite for all bedrooms is a plus. A generous sized kitchen and main seating area mean there is no sense of claustrophobia. A very quiet location with attractions in easy reach. An excellent swimming pool just a few yards from the property was very popular.

Mill House is a fantastic property, ideally situated for exploring the local area and very well equipped, with lots of welcome touches such as handwash in every bathroom and hairdryers in every bedroom. The downstairs living area was very spacious and the outdoor dining space was sheltered and secluded. The fact that each of the 4 bedrooms had an eRead morensuite bathroom was definitely a plus point. We booked this property partly because of the previous good reviews and it didn't disappoint. Hide
