The cottage is beautiful. The views from the back of the property are incredible and its very quiet. The owners live on the property so any help thats needed is quickly sorted. There is so much wildlife and the birdsong is constant and really beautiful. My dog absolutely loved exploring the grounds, theres a lot of gravel at the front and the gardenRead more at the back which he does struggle walking on but out the back its a small area which then leads to another fenced in paddock so wasnt a huge issue. We had such an amazing time staying here and its a great location between Whitby and York so we were able to do so many day trips and really make the most of our time there. Hide

Great property and fabulous host . Particularly liked the unusual facilities of hot tub, tennis court and snooker room . Only drawback is the distance to any shops/restaurants which are approx 5 mins drive but 30 mins walk , but to be fair we knew this in advance. Would defo recommend .

Lovely location, very comfortable and clean. Perfect for our Labrador because she could be off lead in the fenced paddock and directly on countryside rights of way footpaths, one of which lead to a delightful foodie pub about 30 mins walk away

We had a lovely stay here. We were a family of 5 adults my parents, my sister, myself and my husband. Very comfy beds and nice having our own bathrooms. The weather was great and we ate outside on several evenings. Nice and safely fenced for our dog too, who also enjoyed the walks in the area. I would highly recommend this cottage.
