Enjoy a superb farm stay at this inviting cottage near Edington, 9 miles from Glastonbury, and take a pair of happy hounds with you. Watch them bound and play in the lawned garden and take them on long walks through beautiful Somerset. Also sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom holiday home is about 10 miles from Burnham-on-Sea, where you can set tails wagging by following the South West Coast Path.

Make your way into the cottage, which is set in the wing of a farmhouse in grounds of 150 acres. Call Fido and Fred into the characterful, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can fire up the wood burner so they can stretch out in its warm glow. Watch TV, choose a DVD or read your book for a while; make your way into the conservatory to listen to music on the Hi-Fi. Wander over to the kitchen to feed your hungry hounds and whip up something tasty for everyone else too with the fresh local produce you have sourced on your excursions. At the end of the day, bid your furry friends goodnight then climb the steep, cottage-style stairs to the king-size bedroom or the twin. The family bathroom is also up here. Wake up and take the pups for a run in the garden then make fresh coffee to enjoy out on the raised deck. Watch the children play on the equipment and take them to visit pets’ corner and the farm animals. On warm evenings sizzle supper on the BBQ.

Lace up your walking boots and follow footpaths from the farm with Fido and Fred by your side. Hop in the car and drive about 15 miles to the edge of the magnificent Quantock Hills. Also plan a day out in the Mendip Hills, which begins approximately 13.5 miles from your base.

This property was amazing. Very clean and spacious. We loved the querkness too it. I was worried about the stairs as read other reviews and yes, while they are quite steep, they were fine. Owners next door were very friendly and helpful with places to visit in the area. We were here during the 4th heatwave of the year and sat in the garden under onRead moree of the trees in 35c heat and had a lovely gentle breeze! We enjoyed our time here very much and didn't want to go home. We hope to be back! Hide

This property is lovely. It is very well equipped, comfortable and spacious. The garden is huge, with good fences, so we didn't have to worry about the dogs escaping. A very good place to relax. We would highly recommend staying here.
