Set tails wagging and escape to the crystal-clear lakes and serene countryside of Borrowdale for your next adventure. Sleeping six humans two hounds, you’ll soon lose yourself throwing sticks for Fido to fetch around beautiful Derwentwater (4 miles) or Buttermere (6 miles).

Enter via the shared entrance and climb the stairs to the second floor to find your abode. Steep cottage-style stairs lead up to four delightful bedrooms with views across the fells – just beware of reduced head height due to the vaulted ceilings. Rover will soon bag a good spot in the open-plan living space to snooze, curling up in comfort whilst you tune into Netflix on the TV. An electric fire crackles invitingly, keeping you toasty as you bustle around the kitchen and serve meals at the table. Completing the property is a useful bathroom. Outside, the shared garden is perfect for sitting back and watching your pup play freely.

Your itinerary can be tailored to suit your tastes, whether you are tempted by the towering mountain ranges or jaunts to the market town of Keswick (6.5 miles). The River Derwent and Stonethwaite Beck have lots of potential for walkies, and for those with an appetite for adventure, Derwentwater is 3 miles away. Brandlehow Woods will prove popular for your curious canine, and of course, the surrounding fells are always worthy of an investigative sniff.

Excellent location, stunning scenery and easy access to a good range of walks and short drive to facilities in Keswick. Warm cosy apartment with sufficient crockery/pans etc for self catering. In attic so sloped ceilings in all rooms which is manageable but a bit tight in places. Single rooms especially. Some local pubs were shut/not able to serve Read morenon residents due to time of year (new yr) but YHA accommodating and only short walk away. Great winters break. Hide
