Have a fabulous Scottish holiday when you book this gorgeous farmhouse near Biggar, South Lanarkshire, and bring two delighted dogs along with you. Watch them explore the large garden at the striking, six-bedroom property, which sleeps six guests across three bedrooms. Indulge in picturesque walks in the area then return home to soak up the sunshine; watch your bouncing Bonzos romp in the garden and perhaps relax in the summer house over a glass of chilled wine.

Wander into the impressive, stone farmhouse via the hallway and make your way into the airy lounge. Light the wood burner in here on chilly evenings and watch your favourite programme on the Smart TV or enjoy a playlist through the Bluetooth speaker, while the pups stretch out close by. Amble through to the attractive kitchen/diner, with its central island, Aga and useful washing machine, to prepare meals for all your party, including those with four legs. Serve up in here too or out in the garden. Find a king-size bedroom and a shower room also downstairs then make your way upstairs to another king-size room plus a twin and the family bathroom with its elegant bath. Spill outside on warm spring and summer days to watch the hounds chase and play. Find safe cycle storage and plenty of parking at the property.

Lace your boots, pick up the leads and watch tails start wagging as you head off on long walks through your Scottish surroundings. Energetic furry legs might like to attempt to reach Tinto Hill, about 6.5 miles away. This beauty spot takes in panoramic views of the islands of Ailsa Craig and Arran, as well as the Cairngorms, Lake District and even the mountains of Northern Ireland. This was a beautiful farmhouse. We enjoyed our stay. Just had a problem with the shower and the upstairs taps.

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage in Scotland. It was comfortable, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed for our visit. This is the second year in a row that we choose knowehead farm for our family Easter holiday. Biggar, at the doorstep, is a great place to visit with kids (great outdoor parks, very interesting puppet centre etc.) The house is incredibly comfortable, with a dream kitchen where we all spent a fabulous time together. The rooms are spacious, clean andRead more comfortable. The bathtub, out of this world. The shower useful. Our dog, who came with us, also enjoyed the space and the little garden. Being in a farm and having a chance to see the calfs, the cows, the sheep etc. was a very important part of the experience for our little ones. All in all, I think this cottage is just perfect for a family holiday. Hide

I would highly recommend this place. The view from the bath is beautiful. The location is a perfect base to explore the Borders area. Having use of an EV charger was ideal and the reason I booked here. Well, that and the view from the bath.

A lovely cottage, a real home from home with everything you might need for a break away. Clean and tidy on arrival. Comfy beds and a peaceful location made for a great night's sleep. Well placed for local amenities or a trip further afield. Would recommend food at The Crown Inn at Biggar if you want to eat out.

A beautiful place to stay and a very nice and helpful landlady. We would recommend it to anyone, particularly in the spring. The sheep and lambs were so funny to watch in the fields opposite the farmhouse! Would love to ho back one day.

We had a lovely Easter break in this cottage. The house is immaculate and very spacious. The kitchen and dining area fantastic to have toddlers exploring. The garden with the picnic bench and the gazebo very pleasant, even in windier days. We had some questions for the owners during our stay and they were always very prompt and helpful answering. PRead moreerhaps the only thing to mention to dog owners is that the garden, even if pretty enclosed, is not a place where you can leave a dog off the leash. Hide

A very clean, warm, large, extremely comfortable and well decorated and dressed cottage. Beautiful situation and owners responded immediately to a query we had. Upstairs bathroom is well fitted and with a bath which has a view but is very small. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely comfortable house with large well equipped rooms. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was great for the family to cook and socialise in. In a great location for us with plenty of country walks but close to Biggar for shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend.
