Surrounded by beautiful countryside and located just 1 mile from the historic market town of Biggar, sits this two-bedroom cottage. Boasting scenic trails and valley views from the door, plus a private hot tub, this property is a good choice for a couple or small family plus two hounds seeking relaxation and long walks in nature.

A few steps lead up to the front door of this one-storey property. Inside, kick off boots and store outdoor gear in the vestibule before heading through to the open-plan living area. Comfortable sofas and plenty of natural light make this an ideal space for you and Fido to relax in, and you can snuggle up on the sofa with a film on the Smart TV or sit back and soak up the stunning valley views. When it’s time to eat, a kitchen overlooks the spacious lounge so you can chat to loved ones as you cook. Serve meals at the dining table, and while you feast, Fido can watch the wildlife through the window. After a hearty meal, head through the hall and choose between a king-size bedroom or a twin bedroom. Both beds are zip-and-link, allowing for versatility, and are beautifully presented with creamy tones, creating a soothing atmosphere. Completing the property is a pristine family bathroom. Outside, Fido can stretch his legs in the patio area while you enjoy an al fresco breakfast at the table. Alternatively, unwind in the hot tub and take in those breathtaking views. There’s also private, off-road parking for two cars.

Explore walking, hiking, and cycling trails straight from the door, or climb Tinto Hill and soak up the views of the Clyde Valley. Alternatively, head to the market town of Biggar (1 mile) and discover its Victorian puppet theatre, museums, and dog-friendly pubs and cafes. Fido will also love scampering over the hilly terrain at New Lanark and watching the waterfalls (14 miles).

Lovely clean cottage with comfy beds and a well appointed kitchen. In beautiful countryside but only a very short drive to Biggar. Hot tub is under cover so you're protected from rain but still have the gorgeous views. Overall a lovely wee place to stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay. We found the cottage wonderfully warm and spacious and with everything we needed during our stay. The outdoor hot tub was excellent - it was very peaceful chilling there and watching the sheep graze nearby! On site EV charger was handy and worked as expected. Do yourself a favour, though, and drive in via BiggarRead more and then Boghall Road as it had far fewer pot holes! Hide

Lovely cottage, spotlessly clean, great location. Biggar is a thriving little town with great cafes. Excellent food in The Crown and lots of independent interesting shops. Lovely countryside to explore and great dog-walks.

Nice cottage with fabulous views. Bit of a scary road once you turn off the main road but the views are well worth it
