Set in beautiful grounds in the heart of the Argyll countryside, this Victorian holiday home is one of three delightful properties onsite and offers comfortable and attractive accommodation for a family or a group of friends with space for up to six two-legged and two four-legged guests. Perfect for visiting the popular towns of Fort William (19.5 miles north) and Oban (24 miles south), the lodge is also ideal for enjoying fabulous walks through wonderful landscapes and is close to the spectacular Loch Linnhe and Ben Nevis.

Dating back to 1840, this beautiful house comprises three properties, with this lodge being the largest. The property has been thoughtfully furnished, with a number of items of local interest including some examples of taxidermy and a collection of books. You can relax and enjoy a movie in the spacious lounge or share a fantastic meal in the light and welcoming conservatory, which offers fantastic country views and is also perfect for enjoying afternoon tea. Please note this property is linked via a connecting door to property 28686, which can be booked alongside this property by larger groups. The garden and extensive grounds are shared with the two other properties, offering beautiful scenery and plenty of space for dogs to run about.

This idyllic area offers plenty to do, including sailing, mountain biking, fishing and walking. There are plenty of walks to enjoy, and dogs are welcome to accompany you to Glencoe National Nature Reserve (1.5 miles) and to Dunstaffnage Castle and McCaig’s Tower, both in Oban. Or you could take a tour of Castle Stalker (6.5 miles). There are plenty of dog-friendly pubs along the way, and you can also take your pooch on the Jacobite steam railway (20 miles), or on a ferry trip to the islands of Mull, Staffa and Iona.

Stunning location & lovely quirky property. The conservatory is delightful & the gardens beautiful ( full of bluebells, azaleas & rhododendrons when we visited in May). Masses of kitchen equipment & lots of lovely ornaments & books to browse when the weather is inclement. As its an old property it doesnt do to be too fussy about cobwebs & the like Read morebut the bathrooms & kitchen were clean. We visited with three small dogs for a week & thoroughly enjoyed it.
