Property code: OC-CA365

Staying at this magnificent Georgian residence is a treat for both human and doggie guests. The former farmhouse has been transformed to a beautifully decorated and furnished property, with space for up to 14 guests in the main property and adjoining steading - perfect for families or large groups of friends. Spend your days salmon fishing, or hiking or cycling in the nearby Perthshire Hills, then gather around roaring open fires together in the evening while your pets stretch out on the vintage rugs nearby.

Both the main house (sleeping ten) and the steading (sleeping four) are decorated in an elegant regency style with graceful mantelpieces and fireplaces, checked fabrics to remind you you’re in Scotland, and quality antique furniture. The main house has a large farmhouse-style kitchen with a red AGA and an apron sink, along with an impressive dining hall for leisurely group meals. In the steading, guests will have a large open-plan living area with a kitchen, cosy lounge, and snooker table, plus plenty of areas for eating. At night, choose from a range of seven sumptuous bedrooms, including three super-king-size rooms, one double and three twin bedrooms, served by five en-suites and a well-appointed bathroom. Outside, the huge garden offers large lawns for dogs and children to play on, including fantastic views over the Tay Valley and beyond. Mild weather calls for al fresco meals and delicious BBQs that go late into the night.

Nearby, take the pets out canoeing and rafting on nearby rivers or tackle challenging munros like Ben Lawers (17 miles), not for the faint-hearted, but incredibly rewarding for keen hikers. For local dog walks, you’ll have a section of the patchwork Tay Forest Park just 1.5 miles away.
