With a mature garden, a hot tub and a wood burner, this luxurious retreat near vibrant Dolgellau is a peaceful and private countryside escape for two humans and one lucky pup. Positioned on the edge of the Snowdonia/Eryri National Park, it offers access to seaside towns, superb walking trails and all the dramatic beauty of Welsh mountains, lakes, waterfalls and woodlands.

Located within a larger estate, the stone-built lodge combines historic character with stylish modern design. In the handsome lounge, you'll find plush seating gathered around a wood burner and a Smart TV - the perfect spot for a relaxing evening with your hound snoozing at your feet. The kitchen includes all the appliances you'll need for prepping hearty breakfasts and delicious dinners, including a dishwasher to help clean up. There's a breakfast bar for two where you can eat comfortably while your chum enjoys his canine supper. A handy WC completes this floor, while upstairs you'll find a stunning king-size bedroom with a vaulted ceiling, a dedicated dressing area and a refreshing en-suite shower room. Spill outside and enjoy a BBQ, a soak in the hot tub or an al fresco drink, or perhaps throw balls for your pet in the secure dog paddock. Two private parking spaces complete this wonderful property.

Just 10 miles away, the market town of Dolgellau is renowned for its music scene and boasts an array of independent pubs, shops and places to eat. From here, you can stride out on the Mawddach Trail, following the spectacular Mawddach Estuary to Barmouth, 9.5 miles. This seaside town has a sandy beach where dogs can run free between October and April, and are allowed outside the main section all year round. For watery fun, both the Rhiwagor Waterfall and Lake Vyrnwy are 14 miles away. Kite Lodge, nestled within the iconic Mach Loop, is the perfect holiday cottage for aviation enthusiasts, offering a unique plane-spotting experience as fast jets soar dramatically low overhead.

Great property, very cute and near places we could walk and visit. Our only issue was a constant dogs barking barking from somewhere near by, dont let that put you off though as we loved our stay.

Cottage lovely. Weather terrible, rain, wind and storms. Unable to use jacuzzi because of weather. Made good use of log burner. Bed very comfortable. A little dog noise in the distance, probably kennels of some sort.

Had a fantastic week at the cottage. It had everything you could think of at hand, especially in the kitchen. It is a little remote with one pub within walking distance but the quietness and breathtaking views won us over. It is definitely worth a visit to recharge the batteries after exploring during the day to a comfy evening back at the cottage Read moreeither in front of the wood burner or in the hot tub. Hide
