Snowdonia National Park was awarded Dark Sky Reserve status in 2015 in recognition of the efforts made here to reduce light pollution. This property is perfectly located within the park to be able to enjoy the very best of the incredible views both at night and during the day due to being situated in a stunning mountainous landscape. A stunning country house with plenty of rooms for up to eight human and two four-legged guests, this property is warm, welcoming and incredibly spacious. Kite Hall, nestled within the iconic Mach Loop, is the perfect holiday cottage for aviation enthusiasts, offering a unique plane-spotting experience as fast jets soar dramatically low overhead.

You’ll feel like royalty as you travel up the sweeping driveway towards the front of the house. However, whilst the outside is grand and imposing, the inside is warm, welcoming and homely. The dining room houses an enormous table that can comfortably seat twelve. Tartan walls give this room a Celtic feel and keep it from feeling too cavernous. The beautiful lounge features a stone fireplace and dark polished wooden floors with a brightly coloured rug to prevent feet and paws from getting too chilly. There are five good-sized bedrooms and five bathrooms here, which means arguments over who is going to take the first shower will be limited – although there may be some discussions around who will get to bathe in one of the beautiful roll-top baths!

Your four-legged friends are going to be shattered by the end of each exciting day, with a multitude of long walks available right outside the doorstep – it’s not every day you get to stroll around your own private arboretum. If you did want to travel a little further afield, the village pub can be found within a pleasant half-mile walk. Not only is this pub a great place to enjoy a meal, but it also offers its own beer made especially for dogs!

  • 5 bedrooms: 3 king-size and 2 singles
  • 2 en-suite bathrooms with bath, separate shower, and WC, en-suite bathroom with bath and WC, en-suite bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC, en-suite shower room with shower and WC
  • TV/DVD
  • Open fire and wood burner, with logs included
  • Kitchen with Aga, oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine
  • Exclusive hot tub
  • Ample off-road parking
  • Pub and shop within walking distance, beach 20 miles
  • Please note that the gardens lead to the river so children must be supervised
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00
  • 3 dogs allowed. Additional charges may apply

A beautiful old house full of original features and modern equipment. However, the fact that there is no enclosed garden and 3 exit points to roads, one being a very busy A road, meant we couldnt quite relax outside. The reasons we chose this property was because it was advertised as dog friendly. There is a big difference between dog friendly andRead more dog safe. Would definitely recommend for people with no dogs. Hide

We had a great family holiday here, the hall is very warm, with plenty of logs provided if you want to light the log burner. All the showers were great with plenty of hot water. Really comfortable beds. Generous welcome pack. The hot tub was in use every night, star gazing. We mainly cooked our own meals, the kitchen is large and very easy to work Read morein, plenty of fridge space and its very social all being round the kitchen island. We did eat out locally at The Cross Foxes, excellent Sunday lunch and The Red Lion, great pub food good value for money, excellent beer, friendly staff. Short drives to local towns and beaches. There was plenty to do for our week stay here. Id love to return again. Hide

Beautiful property with superb gardens in a great location for local walks and easy reach of beaches (Barmouth and Aberdovey recommended) and scenery (e.g. train ride along side of Bala lake). Lovely house with great en-suite facilities. Views are tremendous but even by the holiday cottages definition of enclosed this is not enclosed. There are 2 other properties on the grounds and there is a second drive without a gate. The hot tub was warm but jets were not working. This was fixed but we only had for the last 2 days. The kitchen also lacked some basic equipment E.G, wooden spoons and other essential utensils. Some of the bathrooms were missing mirrors, which made things a bit inconvenient. There were also no facilities to safely dispose of ashes from the fires, and no fire mitt was available. Additionally, the level of dust, particularly on the drop-leaf taRead moreble, was excessive and detracted from the overall cleanliness of the space. On a positive note, we did appreciate the improvements and love the property.

Great house in a good location. Grounds are lovely and it feels very private, even though it's just off a main route (handy for getting out and about to explore). This is a really wonderful house, spacious and comfortable and really well located for walking and swimming in southern Snowdonia. It is large and comfortable with plenty of space to relax and set in a huge garden. Its a bit close to the noise of a busy road but that is offset by the loveliness of the house
