Fabulous week, great location. Track up to accommodation is very bumpy but they were working on filling in the holes while we were there and that made a big difference. Walks from the front door are amazing, you can literally walk for miles in pure peace with fantastic views. Joe is a very helpful and lovely host.

From the moment we arrived and started hearing cuckoos we knew we had found somewhere special. The cottage was warm and welcoming and is in a spectacular location with an abundance of bird species. Tucked away in a quiet fold of the countryside, the cottage is the kind of place that makes you "slow down" the moment you arrive. Overall a lovely cottage in a remote area. The road leading up the cottage is 15 mins off the main road and quite bumpy , it definitely requires a bigger car to get to the cottage . If you want rural, this is the place. There is a long bump track along the hillside to get to it but once your there its in a lovely little small setting. Cottage is comfortable and most things are provided. A little TLC is needed as a little tired but overall pleasant. Fantastic honey from the man at the bottom of the track. In a great rural situation, this reasonably comfortable property, is well insulated, with easy heating controls. We never saw the owners, but they were helpful via WhatsApp, when we twice needed to contact them. The online information is misleading, as the property is not 2miles from Machynlleth, but 4 miles, 3 on very narrow, winding single track Read moreroads and the last mile extremely rough and unsurfaced. Some of the furniture is looking old and a bit tatty. The kitchen could be better equipped. Hide
