Discover the astounding beauty of Derbyshire on a dog-friendly break in the Peak District. This handsome two-bedroom barn conversion sleeps four guests and is a paws-down winner for pets too. With wonderful walks right on the doorstep, it also comes with a pretty garden where you can gaze out towards Mam Tor and your chum can bask in the summer sunshine.
Make your way inside to find a warm welcome for pets and people. At the heart of the accommodation is a spacious, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where exposed beams and stonework provide character and charm. Stoke up the fire in the wood burner so you can all unwind in its cosy heat. Find a film on the TV or discuss the following day’s activities. The kitchen encompasses everything you will need to cater for yourselves with your own ingredients. There is a breakfast bar where you can dine together while your hungry hound tucks into his meal below. Bid your tired pet goodnight before ascending the stairs to the upper level of the barn. Here you have a tempting king-size bedroom, plus a lovely twin, both with attractive sloping ceilings. The family bathroom, with a roll-top bath, is also at this level. Take your chum out to stretch his furry legs in the fresh air of the garden as the mist rises from the fields. Have morning coffee here as you listen to the stream, keeping an eye on him and any children near the water. There is private parking for two cars.
Take energetic pups with you up Winnats Pass, 1.5 miles away, and Mam Tor, 2.5 miles away. There are also some superb walks at Ladybower Reservoir, 5 miles away. Plan a trip to Chatsworth House, 14 miles away, to wander the acres of parkland with your delighted dog.
