The cottage is based in a very tranquil setting and is well placed for visiting Bath, Lacock etc. The host, Barbara, was very accommodating and friendly. Its a bit of a distance by foot from pubs and shops but only 5 -10 minutes by car into Chippenham.

We had a wonderful few days in the cottage. It was perfect for us all. The garden area was beautiful and so calm. The bird song was immense every morning and evening. The decor of the cottage was very impressive and had everything you need for a few days away self catering. The host was extremely welcoming and friendly.

This is a beautiful setting and the Dovecote is a well-equipped and spacious place to stay. I was there for three weeks on a working retreat and found it quiet and relaxing. A great area for dog walking that is out of town but close enough to walk in.

Beautifully appointed cottage with everything you need for a super stay in Wiltshire. Barbara is an exceptional host, talking us through a few days before our stay and then greeting us on arrival with a fantastic welcome hamper - thanks ever so much, so thoughtful. Lovely Welcome from Barbara. Holiday prpoerty could suit dog owners best. Expectations of local access to countryside using public rights of way /cycle paths disappointing. Cottage comfortable and clean. Good rail access to Bath. Thankyou

A most delightful stay! Our contact with the owner was easy, and her planning for accommodation for the young grandchildren was spot on. The welcome pack on our arrival was very thoughtfully done. The grounds are lovely - we saw heron and deer.
