The property is part of a small complex of cottages and makes an ideal holiday home for a family with a pair of dogs in tow. This lovely cottage is perfect for exploring both the coast and countryside of Somerset and Devon, with fantastic walks offering stunning views to enjoy right from the doorstep.

This attractive and welcoming single-level property can be found within the grounds of the owner’s home. A bright and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner makes an ideal living area for you to relax in at the end of a wonderful day exploring the Brendon Hills with your family and canine companions. Heading outside you can relax and enjoy a BBQ in the enclosed patio and admire the far-reaching rural scenery. You are also welcome to explore the owner’s land which is home to chickens, cows and sheep.

Situated on the edge of the eastern reaches of Exmoor, this property is also a great base for exploring the nearby Quantock Hills (8 miles). There are many miles of wonderful walks your dogs will love, as well as plenty of dog-friendly pubs for you to relax in. Heading north you can enjoy the popular coastal town of Minehead (13 miles). There are quaint villages to explore including Porlock (17 miles) and Dunster (12 miles) and the harbour town of Watchet (7.5 miles). Your four-legged friends are also welcome to help you explore the ruins of Daws Castle (8 miles) and they can accompany you on a steam train journey on the West Somerset Railway. Dogs are welcome at several local beaches without restriction, including Minehead Terminus, Watchet and Blue Anchor Bay (13 miles).

We visited in February with our two little Cavapoos Edie & Tilly. Its a beautiful cottage, So warm and well equipped. The owners had thought of everything. Great welcome pack. Loved the exmoor walking guides. The log burner was lovely. The garden was perfect, so safe for our little dogs. Hillside is a delightful cottage situated in the grounds of Old Holcombe Water Farm, where you are surrounded by beautiful countryside. We were welcomed by the owners who went out of their way to make us comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending this location for a very restful holiday.

AMAZING!! A beautiful tranquil place with gorgeous surrounds. The hoist Spence and Gemma instantly made you feel that it was your home. The welcome basket and even treats for our dogs presented in such a caring and loving way. Everything you needed was there for you. The beds were so comfortable, it was like being home from home. Fantastic holiday cottage in a lovely peaceful location. It was very clean and had all the equipment we could have needed. It was also dog friendly, with an enclosed garden and a paddock to run around . There was lots of lovely places to visit like Watchet, Lynmouth and Wimbleball lake

The cottage is lovely and the surrounding area is great too. There's a lake where you can sit and watch the birds and dragonflies. The hosts are very nice/helpful. A great place to stay that's dog friendly.

Excellent cottage, in a lovely setting Very secure garden for our King Charles dog and a large grassed area to walk around. The cottage had every piece of equipment you could possibly need . This has been one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. We would highly recommend staying here.

A peaceful area to stay with beautiful views and friendly hosts too. Our hosts were on hand should we need anything at any time. The attention to detail and comfort was important for this property. The garden was very secure which ensured our fur baby was safe when wandering outside. Hillside was the best place wed been to in a long time; and will Read morebe returning again in the near future. Excellent accommodation. The hosts were really nice and accommodating, offering to switch outside lights on (for our late arrival back at night). Very good and efficient communication, and the location was very quiet and quaint. Would definitely recommend it to anyone after peace and quiet from a busy town. Lovely cottage set a in a beautiful rural location. Equipped with everything you need. Exceptionally clean and comfortable Gemma and Spencer are excellent hosts. We would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family and we will hopefully return.

The stay was wonderful. You find a special place, far away from stress and hectic, in the middle of a wonderful landscape. If you are looking for this and not the proximity of a town with shops, pubs etc, then this is the place for you. We loved it.
