A lovely cozy cottage in a beautiful location - the cottage was very well equipped. Our son loved the snug and hot tub. Thank you so much for the generous welcome pack - everything needed for a cooked breakfast. We would definitely book again.

The Fernery is very comfortable especially the beds. We love to cook. There was everything we needed. Eating alfresco was a joy. The garden room and outside seating area was a bonus. Our dog Beau adapted very quickly. He loved all his long walks through the fields. The horses were so friendly. It was peaceful but also close to the village. RichmondRead more is close by and worth a visit. We also loved Kipkin Hall and Raby Castle both only 20 min drive. Lovely welcome pack. Hide

A really beautiful cottage set in the grounds of a 1300 acre working farm, nature literally on the doorstep. We really enjoyed our stay at the Fernery, well equipped, dog friendly and a sunny garden. The only thing that was disappointing was that the 2nd bathroom was through the kitchen, not near the bedroom.

Fantastic location with ample dog walking routes on the estate as well as out to local villages and very friendly staff. Recommend The Crown Inn at Manfield an hours walk away which is dog friendly. The wood fired hot tub is great but it does take up your time to get to temperature. There is plenty to see and do in the area with Richmond and Raby cRead moreastles both worth a visit, as well as Hopetown Darlington the birthplace of the steam railway which has free entry and great interactive exhibits.
