Step inside and you’ll find a welcoming and comfortable space for the whole pack. The open-plan living area is bright and airy, with large glass doors that let you admire those wonderful river views. You can relax on the comfy sofas, enjoy a movie on the TV, or simply enjoy the warmth from the crackling wood burner. The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals, including a dishwasher so there’s no need to spend time on chores. When it’s time to rest, the lodge sleeps four humans across two lovely king-size bedrooms which can be twin beds if required, one with its own en-suite shower room, plus a separate family shower room for added convenience. Parking for two cars is just a few metres away.
The Teesdale Way runs right past the lodge, offering miles of scenic walks to explore together. A stroll along the path will take you to a natural sulphur spring, or you can follow the river into the charming village of Gainford (0.5 miles). You’re also perfectly placed to discover nearby attractions like the magnificent Raby Castle (6 miles), with its wonderful parkland for your dog to explore, and the historic market town of Barnard Castle (8 miles).
