The accommodation, which is 2 miles from Ottery St Mary, welcomes four guests and two furry chums and suits those who love getting out and about in nature. As well as being surrounded by countryside trails, you’ll be just 7 miles from the stunning Jurassic Coast.
The safari tent sits within a 7-acre meadow, along with four other retreats. Inside, the accommodation has a rustic, country-cottage style with an array of creature comforts. The main living space is open-plan, with a kitchenette and a dining table for sharing mealtimes together. In the evenings, get cosy on the sofa whilst the hounds stretch out in front of the roaring wood burner. The tent has two inviting bedrooms – a double and a twin – with plush linens for a good night’s sleep. You’ll have a refreshing shower room, along with a private compost WC positioned behind the tent. Outside, relax on the terrace and fire up the BBQ for an al fresco supper. Round off your day with a soak in the wood-fired hot tub, before toasting marshmallows around the campfire. Beyond the glamping field is an ancient woodland perfect for dog walking. Private parking is available for two cars.
Ottery St Mary is a quintessential English town, with gorgeous medieval and Gothic architecture, quaint cafes serving cream teas, and regular open-air markets. After a potter around, enjoy a scenic walk with the woofers along the River Otter. For a day at the seaside, journey to the coastal resorts of Sidmouth (7 miles) or Budleigh Salterton (10 miles). Both towns’ beaches have dog-friendly sections all year, and you can also stroll along the promenade or join the South West Coast Path.
