Tucked into the rolling parkland of the St Mellion Estate, this inviting stone cottage sits within 450 acres of open countryside, giving up to four guests and their four-legged companion plenty of room for sunrise sniffs and evening strolls. With a spa and health club on site, nearby dining options, and an 18-hole golf course within easy reach, there’s plenty to do without ever leaving the estate.

Enter through the front door into a bright, welcoming hallway and head into the open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. This lively hub is great for gathering around the central table while meals are prepared in the well-equipped kitchen. After a day exploring the estate, sink into the cosy seating and put on the Smart TV while your furry friend curls up at your feet. Off the hallway, you’ll find a modern shower room and a bunk bedroom for children or an extra guest. The master bedroom is a peaceful retreat with a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (convertible to twins on request), a dressing area, Smart TV, and a snug seating nook where you can sip a morning coffee while your loyal pup surveys the view through the patio doors. An en-suite bathroom completes the accommodation. Step outside onto a private patio with garden furniture, accessed from both the lounge and the main bedroom, making it easy to pop outside with your pup. Beyond this, the estate’s expansive grounds are yours to roam, while guests have complimentary use of the health club. Private off-road parking for two cars makes arrivals and departures easy.

Bordering the Tamar Valley National Landscape and with Dartmoor National Park beyond, walkers and wagging tails are spoiled for choice. Meander along the River Tamar or wander the historic gardens and trails at National Trust Cotehele Mill (3.5 miles), where inquisitive noses will have a field day. For coastal adventures, dog-friendly Whitsand Bay (15 miles) is open year-round for sandy romps, while Plymouth (12 miles) adds waterfront walks, shopping, and pet-friendly cafes for a change of scenery.

The cottage is well presented and the kitchen is fully equipped. The beds are comfortable and the bedding good quality.

No issues whatsoever lovely break would return no problem Everybody very helpful golf shop pros and buggy staff fantastic.
