Escape in style at this beautiful property sitting in a complex of properties in Tansley. Sleeping six people across three bedrooms and welcoming three canine companions, it’s ideal for families or groups of friends in search of a serene retreat to call home while they discover the Derbyshire countryside with their pups in tow. Set off for walkies at Matlock Bath and take your pups in the cable car up to the magnificent Heights of Abraham. In the evening, come home to share an al fresco dinner in the cottage’s garden.
Park in your private parking area (there’s room for four cars) and step inside this gorgeous holiday home. The heart of the retreat is an open-plan living/kitchen/dining area with beautiful exposed beams and a wood burner. When it’s time to eat, head to the country-style kitchen area to rustle up some dinner. Get everyone together to eat around the long wooden table, or head out into the garden and dine alfresco while your pups play freely in the enclosed space. Afterwards, head to the lounge to relax by the glowing wood burner while your pups sleep at your feet. At the end of the day, retire to one of the three beautiful bedrooms – a super-king size family room with an alcove with bunk beds for two children, a charming double bedroom, and a king-size four-poster room with its own en-suite shower room. There’s also a mezzanine with two double futons that can be booked at an extra cost. A stylish bathroom with a bath and shower, and a separate shower room, completes the stylish layout.
Soak up a little serenity when you take your pups for walkies at Lumsdale Waterfalls (3 miles), or pull on your hiking boots and set off into the Peak District National Park (6.5 miles) – it’s perfect for adventurous canine companions.
