If you’re a family or group of friends looking for a stylish base for exploring North Cornwall, this single-storey lodge is a fantastic option. The dog-friendly holiday home sleeps six guests over three bedrooms and is conveniently located just 2.5 miles from the chic coastal village of Rock. A footpath 500 metres from your front door takes you down to the stunning Camel Estuary, where you can take peaceful strolls and lap up scenic views across the water.
Step inside to a generous open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining space that’s made for spending quality time together. It’s bathed in natural light and decorated in soft, calming tones. You’ll have a Smart TV and plenty of sofa space, along with a breakfast bar for casual bites and a large dining table for sociable mealtimes. Each of the three bedrooms – one super-king and two twins – has its own en-suite shower room, so everyone gets comfort and privacy. Back in the main living area, throw open the glass doors to the deck to embrace indoor/outdoor living. Around the holiday park, you’ll also find shared perks like an indoor heated pool (open April to end of October) and a games room, while back at the lodge, there’s private parking for two cars.
You’ll be spoilt for choice for activities nearby, whether you fancy swimming from the secluded sands of Porthilly Cove (3 miles away) or picnicking and playing at Rock’s long beach (4.5 miles). Hop on the pedestrian Black Tor ferry across the Camel Estuary to the charming fishing port of Padstow (11.5 miles by road), famous for its celebrity seafood restaurants and harbour views. At Wadebridge (3.5 miles), you can hire bikes and follow the Camel Trail for almost 6 miles to Bodmin for breathtaking scenery.
