Get the whole gang together at this stylish timber-clad lodge sitting close to the shores of Camel Estuary, just outside the chic little village of Rock. During the day, stroll through the upmarket village of Rock to its expansive, dog-friendly beach. In the evening, return to this elegant lodge to host big dinners in your private garden.
From your private parking spot, step inside your spacious lodge and you’ll be greeted by a bright hall where you can store all of your dog-walking gear. Take a moment to make yourself at home in the sociable hub of the house – the lounge – before you head to the sleek kitchen to cook up a storm. Get the whole gang together to eat at the dining table in the generous dining room, or head out into the garden and share an al fresco feast while your pups play on the lawn. After dinner, take a relaxing dip in the private hot tub, or organise a friendly tournament in the shared games room. At the end of the day, two lovely double bedrooms, two inviting twin rooms and a cosy bunk bedroom await. Completing the layout is a chic family bathroom with a free-standing bath and a walk-in shower, as well as a second shower room. In the morning, kick off your day with a dip in the shared heated swimming pool (April to the end of October).
Pack up a picnic and head to the tranquil Porthilly Cove (3 miles) – a dog-friendly beach that offers a beautiful sandy expanse and views of the Camel Estuary and Padstow. Alternatively, take your dogs to Polzeath ( 5 miles) – a popular surfing beach that offers sweeping sandy shores for your pups to run on. Please note that there is a seasonal time-restricted ban for dogs between May and September.
