Roam the splendid North Pennines National Landscape with Rex by your side. This enticing, two-bedroom cottage is set close to Nenthead, England’s highest village, 4.5 miles from Alston. Sleeping four guests, it has a private garden for Rex to nose about in. You can also take him to play in a second garden, which is shared with a neighbouring property.
Return from crisp winter walks and colourful autumn rambles to light the wood burner in the stone fireplace of the attractive lounge/diner. Let Rex stretch out on the rug while you select a soft seat to recline in. Watch the Smart TV or take in the views as he dozes. There is also a table where you can gather to play games or pull the chairs out to sit down to a meal. Prepare these feasts through in the well-equipped, modern kitchen, where you can also top up Rex’s food and water bowls. Find a quiet corner for your four-pawed pal to bed down in for the night. The family shower room is also downstairs, while your two bedrooms are on the first floor. One of these is a super-king-size and the other king-size; both have zip-and-link beds that can also be made up as twins by prior agreement. Take Rex out onto the patio with you on summer mornings. Throw a stick for him in the garden that is to the side and rear of the property or play games in the shared garden. There is parking here for two cars.
Lace up your boots, grab the dog lead and stride out to follow walks across beautiful Alston Moor. You can also follow routes including the South Tyne Trail and Pennine Way. At Tyne Willow, 5 miles away, there is a spacious, green area where Rex can run free.
