Take your energic pet hiking in the Pennines then return to the comfort of this sizeable farmhouse together. Sleeping 10 guests, the five-bedroom holiday home, near Nenthead, 4.5 miles from Alston, comes with a private hot tub and garden, plus access to a shared garden. It makes a great choice for large parties especially those including guests with four legs.

Head inside to find gorgeous accommodation with exposed stone walls and beams. Call your chum into the boot room to dry him down if necessary. Make your way together into the lovely lounge, where you can stoke up the wood burner so he can toast his paws. Watch the Smart TV then amble through to the kitchen to prepare a tasty meal for the hounds and humans in your party. One of your bedrooms a king-size, with an en-suite shower room and zip-and-link beds that can also be made up singles by prior arrangement, is also downstairs, together with a separate WC. Settle your contented canine for the night at this lower level too. Climb one of the two staircases in the cottage to your other rooms: a super-king-size, also with zip-and-link beds and an en-suite shower room, 2 king-sizes, one with zip-and-link beds and the other with an en-suite shower room, and a bunk bedroom. The family shower room is also here. Take your paw-some pal into your garden to play. Here you can also dine under the stars and bubble in the hot hub in the garden room. Explore the second enclosed garden, which is shared too. There is parking for four cars.

Head out on foot to discover the picturesque surroundings of Nenthead, which is said to be England’s highest village. Take in the scenery from a dog-friendly, heritage, steam train on the South Tynedale Railway from Alston.

Beautiful cottage in stunning Cumbrian location. Wonderfully equipped place, lots of little extra touches makes this a perfect place for a holiday. We were lucky and had a sprinkling of snow making it very magical.

Well equipped beautiful house. Unfortunately 6 of the 9 of the party came home with bites. The owner has not even said sorry and implied because previous party and party after us didnt get bitten were making it up. Didnt feel it necessary to compensate us. Will not book with Holiday Cottages again

Absolutely gorgeous made our Christmas Location and views were beautiful the walks we did were amazing The property is decorated to a very high standard and is made to feel very homely at the same time The kitchen is better equipped than my own at home and has every pot and utensil youll need The added bonus of a hot tub with stunning views Read morewas fantastic The property is big enough for everyone to have their own space, we were 8 adults with 2 dogs.
