Rest and recharge at this idyllic countryside retreat, nestled amongst the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds landscape. The lodge, which sleeps four humans and two hounds, is just 4.5 miles from the historic market town of Driffield and is also within 10 miles of Yorkshire's stunning coast. After a day of exploring with family or friends, enjoy an al fresco supper on your private terrace, as you admire the far-reaching rural views.
The lodge enjoys a peaceful setting on a working farm, within a small complex of similar holiday homes. Inside, the lodge is warm and inviting, with wood-clad walls, comfortable furniture, and an array of homely touches. Prepare meals for the group in the sleek kitchen area, which has everything needed for a self-catering break, and share mealtimes around the dining table or outside on the terrace. In the evenings, unwind on the plump sofa, with the hounds curled at your feet, as you read your book or watch the Smart TV. In summer, throw open the French doors so your furry pals can potter in and out. The property has two tastefully decorated bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities and French doors opening onto the outside space. Outside, soak up the scenery from the decked terrace, where you'll find outdoor furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining. Beyond this is a large, grassy area where the pups can play. The lodge has private parking for two cars.
The bustling market town of Driffield has a good range of paw-friendly shops and eateries to explore, and also hosts a popular outdoor market each week. There are some lovely walks to enjoy in and around the town, including along the scenic canal towpath. Heading east, you'll find some fantastic coastal walks at Flamborough Head (17 miles) or Bempton Cliffs (16 miles), or for a day at the beach journey to the woof-welcoming Fraisthorpe (11.5 miles) or Danes Dyke (15 miles). Paw-friendly attractions in the area include Sledmere House and Gardens (11.5 miles) and Burton Constable Hall (22.5 miles).
