This countryside retreat enjoys a tranquil setting within the Yorkshire Wolds, just 4.5 miles from the ancient market town of Driffield. The lodge welcomes four humans and two hounds and is perfect for families and couples who love getting out and about in nature. You'll be within easy reach of long-distance walking routes, such as the Yorkshire Wolds Way, and there are some stunning spots for outdoor adventure, including Bempton Cliffs and Flamborough Head (both within 16 miles).
The timber lodge is set alongside similar holiday homes on a working farm and boasts far-reaching rural views. Inside, the main living space is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a vaulted ceiling and wood-panelled walls. Tucked in one corner is a sleek kitchen area for preparing hearty breakfasts and delicious dinners, which you can share together at the dining table. In the evenings, relax on the sofa or curl up in the armchair, with the pups stretched out at your feet, as you read a book or watch the Smart TV. In summer months, throw open the French doors so the hounds can amble in and out to the garden. When it's time for bed, choose from a king-size bedroom or a super-king-size bedroom that can be made into a twin on request. Both rooms boast direct access to outside and have their own, en-suite facilities. Outside, dine alfresco on your private decked terrace, where you'll find outdoor furniture and a BBQ. Beyond the terrace is a large, grassed area where the woofers can play. The property has private parking for two cars.
Head into Driffield to explore the town's eclectic mix of shops and independent eateries, or potter around the weekly market. After a spot of retail therapy, take your four-pawed pals for a scenic walk along the canal towpath. Alternatively, journey to the coast to visit the charming seaside town of Bridlington (11.5 miles), with its cobbled streets and bustling harbour. The town has a good range of paw-friendly restaurants, many of which serve the famous Bridlington Bay lobster. Yorkshire's east coast has some fabulous, woof-welcoming beaches, including Danes Dyke (15 miles) and Fraisthorpe (11.5 miles).
