Enjoying a secluded location on a 1,000-acre working farm, this inviting pet-friendly lodge makes a fantastic holiday home for couples and smaller families exploring Dumfries and Galloway. Featuring delightful waterside views, the cabin lies close to Bengairn Loch, and offers cosy accommodation for four guests. With plenty of space for a four-pawed pal to join you for long rural and coastal walks, this pretty hideaway features two relaxing bedrooms, a sunny patio and a cheerful hot tub.

Entering this spacious single-level cabin you will find a bright open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which makes an ideal space for everyone to get together and unwind after a fantastic day out. Floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors allow light to stream into the cheery lounge, with a Smart TV, comfortable seating and a wood burner-effect electric fire. There’s a charming central dining table and a sleek, fully equipped kitchen with plenty of storage and workspace. The lodge has two cosy en-suite bedrooms: a king-size and super-king-size, each with waterside views and a Smart TV. French doors lead from the main rooms onto an enclosed patio with ample space for your pet to lie down in the sun. Here you will find a sweet seating area, with a chiminea and fire pit, perfect for enjoying a BBQ, alongside a welcoming hot tub to luxuriate in. Ample off-road parking and bike storage are available.

This delightful lodge is part of a group of properties set on a beef and sheep farm where guests are welcome to explore the farmland, watch the sheepdogs and help feed the lambs in springtime. The bustling town of Castle Douglas lies to the north (7.5 miles), with nearby dog-welcoming attractions including Dundrennan Abbey, MacLellan’s Castle, RSPB Ken-Dee Marshes, Dalbeattie Forest and the gorgeous beaches at Sandyhills, Southerness and Rockcliffe (all within 20 miles).

  • Please note that the minimum stay is 3 nights, and that short breaks are only accepted1st November to 15th March

A beautiful lodge - luxury high end furnishings, cosy, warm and with everything you could possibly need. Location is superb- right on the edge of the loch - perfect to appreciate the wonderful wildlife. Its relaxing and refreshing. Lovely walks on the doorstep.

Everything you could need was provided. The owners were friendly and helpful. The view is outstanding. A perfect location for a peaceful break from everyday life.

Absolutely stunning place. The lodge is to a high standard very clean, comfortable has everything you need. Really quiet location with amazing scenery lots of wildlife and lovely walks on the doorstep. Absolutely amazing hosts friendly helpful and such wonderful people what a privilege to have met them. Really enjoyed our stay at Hazel Lodge. Beautiful location and superb view of the Loch- a joy to watch all the wildlife. Lodge was very well equipped and was very comfortable. We thoroughly recommend doing the farm tour, it was so interesting and the sheep dogs are just gorgeous plus Maisie, of course. Area was beautiful with walks along the coaRead morest and our favourite Gatehouse of Fleet definitely worth a visit. Would certainly recommend for a week or two. Hide
