Scenic countryside walks abound, and glorious, dog-friendly beaches are within easy reach.
The light and airy open-plan living space is attractively furnished in a contemporary style, with natural wood enhancing a countryside feel. Sofas provide comfortable seating, with large patio doors giving lovely views across the golf course towards the Cheviot Hills. There’s a cosy flame effect electric fire, and ample floor space for dog beds or blankets, while the kitchen/diner area has all you need to get cooking, with lovely views from the dining table. There are three charming bedrooms: two doubles (one with an en-suite) and a twin, along with a family bathroom. Outside, the large, enclosed decked terrace houses a splendid hot tub and garden furniture. There is off-road parking for two cars.
The golden, dog-friendly beach at Amble Links (10 miles) is canine heaven and a great spot for surfing or kayaking. Well-behaved pets on leads are welcome on boat trips from Amble Harbour around Coquet Island, home to puffins and seals. Tailwaggers on leads can also share a visit to nearby medieval Warkworth Castle (1.5 miles) with breathtaking views of the River Coquet and coast. Enjoy a hike along the splendid Northumberland Coast Path at pet-friendly Druridge Bay (10 miles) and visit the National Trust’s Cragside (9.5 miles), a spectacular Victorian mansion set in a fantasy mountain landscape.
