Inside the cottage, the decor is homely and comfortable with more than enough space for man and dog alike to put feet (and paws) up. Spend quality time in the open-plan living area, cooking, dining and watching TV with Rover neatly tucked up by the warmth of the wood burner. At bedtime, your pets will adore snoozing in here whilst you venture off to three bedrooms – a double on the ground floor, an en-suite twin on the first floor, and an en-suite king-size up a final, short, curved set of steps. The family bathroom on the first floor completes the interior. Notice the never-ending outdoor space that surrounds the cottage, including the designated dog paddocks, BBQ areas, the shared gardens with outdoor kitchen facilities and a terrace area that’s enclosed and utterly private. Other shared facilities include the action-packed games room, bike storage and a laundry room.
Discover the beautiful gardens of Derbyshire’s stately homes including Thornbridge Hall (4 miles) and Chatsworth House (6 miles), each inviting dogs to explore the estate and parkland whilst securely on the lead. If your pet prefers to sniff out wildlife and fetch sticks unrestricted, then explore long-distance walking routes including the Monsal Trail (5 miles) and the Derwent Valley Heritage Way (6 miles) that stretch along the River Wye and the River Derwent respectively. Along the River Wye, let Rover lead the way to take in the splendour of the Headstone Viaduct (6 miles).
