Set within a tranquil private estate in Shropshire, this luxurious lodge welcomes humans and hounds for a relaxing retreat boasting an enclosed lawned garden and a blissful hot tub. For an active day out, Offa’s Dyke footpath can be picked up within a mile of your doorstep, travelling through parkland and farmland with plenty of scents to sniff along the way.

Welcoming you home is the cosy living room which has been thoughtfully decorated to ensure a comfortable break. Dual aspect windows allow light to pour into the space during the day, creating a lovely spot to read a book on the sumptuous sofas, whilst the wood burner offers a lovely warming glow in the evening. Next door, the pastel-toned kitchen is light and bright with views out to the garden which will keep you calm whilst you prepare meals for your loved ones. When it’s time to eat, the separate dining table has an oak table where everyone can gather together. In addition, there is a games room with a football table for after-dinner entertainment. The first floor is where you’ll find the elegantly styled bedrooms, including the master room with its king-size bed. Bedroom two has a double bed, and the third is a versatile king-size bed with zip-and-link functionality allowing for it to be split into a twin if necessary. Outside, the garden has been enclosed for safety with an expanse of lawn for canines to burn off their remaining energy at the end of the day whilst the wider estate offers waymarked walks along the river and through the majestic woodland.

Ideally situated on the England/Wales border, a whole host of adventures await you and your four-pawed pals, including walks in the Shropshire Hills just 10 miles away. Stiperstones National Nature Reserve within the Shropshire Hills is a dramatic location for a walk with plenty of history to sniff out including Bronze Age burial cairns, as well as a rich array of wildlife and a cafe for a slice of cake.

What an absolute gem of a find. This property is the best self catered property we have stayed in, it's stunning, well decorated and has everything you need. Our 2 dogs enjoyed the large back garden and walks on the doorstep and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. A property that accepts pets with carpet is very rare and really helped our old dog wiRead moreth arthritis get about a lot easier so thank you. We were extremely lucky to have had such amazing weather during our stay which made our break even better. We can not recommend this property enough and will tell all our friends and family about this amazing place. We can not wait to return again next year. Thank you Hide

My wife and three sons (18, 15 and 4) had a wonderful stay. We found the house, garden and nearby wooded area was perfect for an isolated break from our normal routine, and exceeded our expectations.

A fantastically spacious and well-kept property - tucked away in the countryside. Decorated to a high-standard - like home-from-home. We loved the cows popping over the fence a couple of times a day to say hello. Hot tub was a bonus (and maintained daily by really friendly groundsmen) - that was nice of an evening under the stars. We used the fire Read morein the lounge on a couple of evenings - lovely and cosy! We enjoyed a week of R&R at Marrington Lodge and would look to return again next year. Hide
